According to the original recipe of 1971 from confectioner Uldis Cirulis.
In Latvia, the name “Vecriga” means not only the historical center of the capital, but also a traditional choux pastry cake with curd filling.
Initially, they were called "Pockets". According to the legend of the master of the confectionery shop the idea of Vecrīgas arose rather prosaically: when it was necessary to have a glass of cognac to eat, they decided to fill the empty Eclair with cottage cheese
